A nationally recognised and flexible qualification that enables candidates to gain a qualification that relates directly to their role in Leadership/Management within the Adult Social Care Sector. The course will enhance their personal growth and development, enabling them to undertake their Leadership/ Management role with greater confidence.
This qualification is supported by Skills for Care (SfC) – the sector skills council for the adult social care sector in England and is registered on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) which is in turn regulated by Ofqual.

Applicants should already be working as a Teamleader / Deputy Manager / Manager in their current employment. The course content is appropriate for learners who manage care and support services for adults in England.
The objective of this qualification is to guide and assess development of knowledge, understanding and skills in management practice within Adult Social Care. It serves as the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements for Adult Social Care in England.
The Level 5 qualification is aimed at individuals aged 19+ wishing to extend their occupational competence and aims to further develop leadership skills, innovation and entrepreneurial skills, the importance of embedding robust values and commitment to partnership working to ensure that services can respond fully to the needs and aspirations of those that use their provision.
This qualifications replaces the current Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England) RQF) and will support the new Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship standard (once live).

Choosing Your Program
All of our Diplomas allow you to tailor your Diploma around your specific interests within the Health or Care Sectors or around your work places specific area of expertise ie, Dementia, Learning Disabilities etc. You do this by choosing units from the Option Groups provided. Our allocated Trainer/Assessor can help you with this during your initial set up meeting.
To achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care, learners must achieve a total of 80 credits, these can be made up of the 20 mandatory units (60 credits) and in addition a minimum of 20 credits from Option Groups A (max of 6 credits) and Option Group B (min 14 credits).
This Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (RQF) is likely to take between 582 hours (guided learning hours) and 800 hours (total qualification time).
