The Level 2 Award in Food Safety is a course that focuses expressly on the needs of food handlers in the specific sector of the food industry in which they work. Courses are available to meet the specific needs of Caterers, Food Manufacturers and Food Retailers. This qualification has changed in 2017 from being Ofqual registered QCF to that of RQF.

This 1 day course is the basic course for people working in the food sector and is a mandatatory requirement. The course concentrates on providing an understanding of the practical application of food safety techniques and how to safely in accordance with your policy and pocedures which will allow food safety to be achieved.

This course is intended for all employees who handle, prepare and /or serve food in a catering, retail or manufacturing environment.

20 question multiple choice examination, pass rate 15 correct answers.
