The First Aid in Social Care course is a non accredited course but follows the syllabus of the Emergency First Aid at Work, it is however more in depth and geared towards the needs of the Carer. This course caters for the general injuries / illnesses usually associated with the Health & Social Care Sector and is a suitable alternative to our Basic Life Support training.
This 1 day non accredited course is a suitable alternative to the Basic Life Support course. This course is designed to satisfy the Social Care sectors requirement to assess the first aid needs of the business and to ensure that adequate numbers of “suitable persons” are provided to administer first aid.
This course is also available as a 1/2 day refresher providing the delegates hold a current (within 3 years) full days training certificate. The Health & Safety Executive are strongly recommending (NOT obligatory) that delegates refresh their training annually.
