This Level 3 Diploma course will enhance the Carers personal growth / development and so undertake their role with greater knowledge and confidence. On completion the candidate may gain admission to various other occupations in care and be a valued member of a care team.

This qualification is supported by Skills for Care (SfC) – the sector skills council for the adult social care sector in England and is registered on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) which is in turn regulated by Ofqual.

Course Description

This qualification is aimed at individuals who are working as or want to progress to a senior role within adult care. It forms the competency component of the advanced apprenticeship for Health & Social Care, it can also be taken as a stand alone qualification.

A nationally recognised and flexible (RQF) qualification that enables candidates to have a qualification that relates directly to their supervisory role within the care establishment.

Full Funding can be claimed back, currently available throughout the Suffolk & Norfolk region in conjunction with Care Development East (Suffolk Brokerage) or Norfolk and Suffolk Care Support (N&SCS). Contact us and we can help organise this on your behalf.

Choosing Your Course

All of our Diplomas allow you to tailor your Diploma around your specific interests within the Health or Care Sectors or around your work places specific area of expertise ie, Dementia, Learning Disabilities etc. You do this by choosing units from the Option Groups provided. Our allocated Trainer/Assessor can help you with this during your initial set up meeting.

To achieve the Level  3 Diploma in Adult Care, learners must achieve a total of 58 credits, these can be made up of the 9 mandatory units and in addition a minimum of  30 credits from Option Groups A, B & C.

Please note: If selecting Leadership units, learners may select a maximum of:

  • 5 credits from Knowledge Leadership, optional group B.
  • 8 credits from Competence Leadership, optional group C.

This Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) is likely to take between 341 hours (guided learning hours) and 580 hours (total qualification time).
