Manual Handling Awareness for Carers
This 1 day course is designed for all people in the caring professions to increase their awareness of the possible injuries to themselves and to enable them to carry out patient transfer operations safely.
Numbers on the course are strictly limited to allow time for all delegates to practice the various transfer techniques and use of the transfer aids. The course includes informal discussions, practice in transfer techniques and case studies.
Delegates on this course will receive an attendance certificate to show that they have received training under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.

In-house courses can be arranged subject to a maximum of 12 candidates. Courses conducted In-House can enable your delegates to practice their lifting techniques in the actual surroundings and with the equipment they use everyday.
