Automated External Defibrillator (AED) - Trainer
Heart disease is the biggest cause of untimely death in the UK and in the case of a person who has suffered a heart attack, and gone into cardiac arrest, the time most casualty’s will need defibrillation (a controlled electric shock to correct the heart's action) and the quicker this is applied the higher the chances of survival.
This one day programme is designed for those wishing to teach students to use the AED. This course may be modified to half day for those with relevant training qualifications.
Entry Qualifications
Delegates on this course must hold one of the following qualifications
- Health & Safety Executive - Current First Aid at Work Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current Appointed Person Certificate

This course is offered in-house. It will require the provision of a suitably sized room to allow all candidates adequate space to do the practice sessions.
